The vast expanse of Noordhoek Beach is nothing short of breathtaking.
Visitors to the gorgeous city of Cape Town should not miss out on an early morning visit to Noordhoek Beach.
On the second morning of our stay in Cape Town, we decided to head down to Noordhoek Beach and shoot an early morning video.
This was the first of many pre-sunrise mornings for us because we love the stillness and exquisite colours that highlight our photo’s and videos. So, at around 4-am, we left Nicky’s Gibb’s Airbnb and took a short drive down to the beach.
Armed with our bags and equipment we took a short walk, accompanied by some surfers, towards the water. And as it turns out, waking up at the crack of dawn was definitely worth it!
With Chapman’s Peak behind us, a group of horse riders galloping down the beach and surfers playing in the waves, we had a terrific time capturing the essence of the morning.
This video is the result:
Filmed with: DJI Mavic Pro & Polar Pro Cinema Series
Soundtrack: August Wilhelmsson
Trip tip:
Early mornings are simply the best if you want incredible lighting in your photo’s and videos. Waking up early is a common practice for South African’s, but can take some extra effort for us European’s! Trust us, with landscapes like these, the early mornings are worth it.
